Droitwich Spa Ladies seconds game was a tight affair as the it continued to rain through the game.

Initially this was a game which was being fought in the middle of the park with both sides cancelling each other out, as Spa new players began to bed in.

However Harborne quicker approach play meant they opened the scoring from a penalty conrner after 7 minutes.

Despite going behind, Droitwich made use of their greater pace and determination with Anna Weston, and Gabrielle Prendiville using their pace to push th defence back.

Following a pacey attack down the right the ball flew across the D where Anna Weston was on hand to sweep the ball home from close range.

Harborne began to find it difficult to hold the Droitwich surge and Lucy Hine found herself free in the D and she struck a hard low shot from the right edge of circle which found the opposite corner

The second half was a more even affair as the homeside sat back tryng to catch Harborne on the break with Gabriella and Anna Weston wasting guilt edge opportunities to further extend the lead.

Harborne capitalised on these missed opportunities with two opportunists strikes to take the lead. Naomi Mountford in goal saved Spa further blushes as she kept and kiced well for the reainder of the half. The final score was 3-2 to Harborne
