Olton & West Warwick 5's visit Droitwich with maximum effect

Droitwich 3rds were visited by one of the leagues top teams Olton and their superiority soon shone through with the visitors scoring very early in the game before Spa managed to get settled. They then added a further goal before Luke Andrews came inches close to reducing the deficit. Olton then squeezed one through the defence at a penalty corner before half time. An injury to Tony Phillips added to the team pressure and then an accidental deflection then left to Droitwich player Joey Skeats injured after a deflection lead to a ball to the face which was fortunately not serious. Olton then pushed their experience and scored a further five goals in the second half. Droitwich did come close with a penalty corner shot from Leon Walters and then from another penalty corner Simon Blackmore having a chance saved on the line from a defender.
