3's spririted game ends with defeat

Droitwich mens 3's travelled to Hampton-in-Arden after last weeks win over Bournville. The home team managed to take an early lead breaking through the Droitwich defence, but Droitwich did not buckle and struck back when Luke Andrews scored at close range to make his scoring four from the last three. Droitwich then had a period of intense possession and a when Luke Andrews held up the ball for Graham Purcell, who then in turn held it for Simon Blackmore to shimmy into the area and score to take the lead.
Second half Droitwich kept their own for the first 15 mins, but then Hampton broke through and equalised. The game seemed to be heading for a draw, but although some great defending from Adam Such and Chris Wade, Hampton managed to break through and score to take the lead. Droitwich continued to push to seek an equaliser with chances from Luke Andrews and Joey Skeats, but the chances were well defended to leave a well played and enjoyable game between the two teams.
