The mens 3's secured their first league win to move them up to 7th in the league. Droitwich started well and had early chance to take the lead with Luke Andrews making the Solihull keeper make a good save, further pressure also saw Kevin Mountfield just fire wide on a good counter attack. It was an even game though and Solihull could have also taken the lead, requiring Droitwich keeper Tony Phillips to keep the scores even. A penalty corner at the half time whistle for Droitwich was well worked, first shot from Leon Walters was saved by the keeper but Nick Carter followed up to give Spa a first half lead.
Second half started with Solihull pressing hard against the defense and they were awarded with an equaliser despite Pete Gurr's attempted goal line clearance. Droitwich did continue to pressure the visitors and were awarded with a goal from Luke Wicks. Droitwich then obtained what they thought would be the match winner when Nick Bates sent a pass through to Simon Blackmore to weave his way into the D and crack a shot passed the keeper. It was not over for the visitors though and they struck back with another goal leaving Droitwich fighting hard to hold on for the win at the end of the game.
