Post lockdown friendly with Bromsgrove 5's enjoyed by both teams

With league fixture cancelled Droitwich entertained Bromsgrove 5's in a friendly fixture. The visitors took an early lead from a penalty corner when initial shot was saved by Droitwich keeper Tony Phillips but could not stop the second shot. Droitwich had good forward pressure, Oli Broomfield coming close but could not make contact with the ball in from Luke Andrews.
Second half saw Bromsgrove extend their lead again from another penalty corner with a shot squeezing through Phillips pads. Droitwich struck back to reduce the deficit within two minutes with Nick Carter latching onto a through ball from Graham Purcell to reduce the deficit. It could have easily been evens soon after when Nick Carter passed through to Luke Smith who could only find the side netting. Nick Carter then scored his second of the day to even the scores and despite further chances, the best from Pete Gurr at the back post, the final score ended with honours even, which was a fair result to both teams.
