Droitwich went into this encounter looking to avenge their defeat at Solihull when Spa dominated the game but came out on the wrong side of a 1-0 encounter. Todays match up was a niggly affair with neither side able to play fluent Hockey with passes going astray and the ball being miscontrolled

However, from Blossomfield first attack their first goal was a firm strike from a Penalty Corner, Spa setted down after this and their chance arrived to Ashely Davies who raced through onto an astute pass from Steve Farr but Davies shot failed to beat the away keeper who had a comfortable kicker save.
Luke Wickes had Spa next chance from a Penalty Corner after David Purchase was fouled and his shot looped over the cross bar following a defender getting his stick on the effort.
Dave Hindle created space for himself down Spa right and got to the byline but could not pick out a black and gold shirt

Solihull Blossomfield doubled their advantage from Penalty Corner which flew in to the goal via Keeper Matthew Whiteside pad.
First half passed with out further incidence.

Second half Spa showed more fight and promise as David Purchase played Barry Williams through on goal but last ditch defending prevented Williams getting a shot away.
David Purchase had further chances to reduce the arrears but could not find the target with any of his efforts as blossomfield defence shephearded away from goal.

Blossomfield third goal arrived after a shot from the right hand side went back across spa keeper.

Spa keeper Whiteside kept Droitwich in the tie as he came out to smother well with another effort and he commandingly cleared the ball away following anothr dangerous Blossomfield attack.

Solihull added a fourth midway through the second half which was how the game ended. Spa head to Wolverhampton next week
