Droitwich Spa men 2s made the short trip to Redditch for their first competitive game of 2017.
Droitwich 1st half performace was epitomised by endevour meant that they had the lead against the league leaders 2-1 at the end of the first half. Peter Gurr opened the scoring profiting on 'ditch defence miscontrolling the ball as he misjudged a cross and Peter opened the scoring. Spa doubled their lead with Callam Turner poweing in a shot from the top of the circle. Redditch gave themeselves hope in the second half as the reduced the defecit as they beat Spa promising keeper Matthew Whiteside.
After the break Redditch scored four goals to lead 5-2 but Droitwich second half efforts were rewarded when David Purchase added their third from a Penalty Corner

Spa look forward to a home tie against Solihull Blossomfield next in the League
