Spa 1s beat the 2nd

4 first half goals from Men 1s and a further 2 in the second set up this win to send the 1s to top of the pile in Tier 3 South West 1 in the early stages with their second win of the season. Goals from Craig Timmis who took his early season tally to 3 along with a Lee Wakelam brace (3goals for the season) and the rest were share around with Brett Gwillam getting on the scoresheet along with Peter Young and Hew Selvey.

Men 2s had their moments from the youngsters in the squad with Sam Radford use his pace and trickery in the second half to worry Spa left back and Matt Gurr also going close with another moment of quality.

Spa Men 1s are away this weekend at Bromsgrove who won their opening game before falling the wrong side of a 11 goals game away to Barford Tigers meaning 1s will need to be on their mettle to get anything out of this local Derby.
