Badgers lose after picking up injuries at Bromsgrove Blue

This week Droitwich badgers visited Bromsgrove Blue. The team were missing a number of players through injuries, but started well defending against a strong Bromsgrove team. An injury to Christopher Brown reduced the team to play with ten before the home team took the lead, then doubling this after the stretched defence could not clear the ball, despite original shot being well saved by Tom Godwin in the Droitwich goal. Droitwich then suffered another injury when Ellie Taylor had a head injury from a penalty corner meant she could not take any further part in the game. The second half started the same way as the first with Bromsgrove getting two quick goals. Droitwich striving to get back in the game had chances from Luke Smith and Hugo Bates before Luke finally found the back of the net, beating the goalkeeper from close range. Droitwich kept seeking to again reduce the deficit, but could not make the opportunities pay.
