Weather doesn't dampen Badgers Win against Kings Heath

The badgers this week played home against Kings Heath in very difficult weather conditions. The visitors started the strongest keeping the play in the Droitwich half, but Droitwich settled into the game and a break saw Hugo Bates chasing the ball into the corner and then delivering a pass across the goal which Joey Skeats managed to get a stick on, but then Katie Alerton was there to score her second of the season. Second half was a very even contest, both sides having good periods of possession and it was Droitwich who should have doubled the lead when this time Katie Alerton crossed in and Hugo Bates got a stick on it to deflect it up towards the goal, but just hitting the wrong side of the post and defecting away to safety. Kings Heath came close to equalising, but some resolute defending from Christopher Brown and Ellie Taylor allowed Droitwich to hang on for their first win of the season.
