Badgers battle against Bromsgrove Blue

First game of the season for the badgers ended with a defeat to Bromsgrove Blue. The team took a while to settle back into competitive games after the early training sessions. Good play by Olivia Walters and Adam Such keeping the strong Bromsgrove team at bay. The home team did take the lead, scoring two goals in quick succession and they added another before Spa got on back through Katie Alerton from close range. Second half started with Spa 4-1 down, but improved defence from Oliver Broomfield and Ellie Taylor kept Bromsgrove from scoring. Droitwich then got one back when a through ball from Katie Phillips sent Luke Smith one on one with the keeper to slot home in the corner of the goal. Tired legs towards the end of the game saw Bromsgrove seal an emphatic win on the visitors finishing 6-2.
