Old Halesonians made their strength and superiorty pay racing into a 2-0 lead with two quality strikes fom Short corners.
Spa for the most of the season have shown their resilience and tenacity in adversity and today was no different. Spa had the opportunity to reduce the defecit following Matthew Gurr being cleaned out by Old Halesonians Keeper as he was going out wide resulting in a penalty flick. Gurr flick only found the post to leave the home side leading 2-0 at the break.
After half time Spa upped the tempo and scored 2 goals through John phillips who is Spa leading scorer this season. Spa fell for the sucker punch as they went 3-2 behind and a further goal extended old Halesonians lead. This defeat was ony their 3rd in ten games and showed that there is stil promise before the entertain Stourpport away in February in two weeks time
