Droitwich started sluggishly not picking their players up and allowing Bromsgrove to settle and dictate play. Bromsgrove were quicker to the ball and stronger in midfield and released their pacey striker who cooly finished past on the onrushing keeper Mark Chorley.

As in previous weeks Droitwich battled back into the game with George Hutchocks pushing up and distributing the ball down the right hand side to Matthew Gurr who played Sam Radford in who failed to take the chance in the circle.
Further chances fell to John Phillips as he put through and whose effort sailed pass the upright.

Droitwich had further opportunities in the first half with chances from Penalty Corners but Matthew Gurr popped up in the right place at the right time to strike the ball home to equalise.

In the second half as the rain continued to pout, Spa upped their game getting to the ball quicker; and hassling which Bromsgrove could not cope with.

Geogre Hutchocks man of the match performance at the back optimised these traits as he skilfully controlled the back line with interceptions and quickness of mind to set up attacks. From one pass found Matthew Gurr who collected the ball and weaved his way through the the home side players before finishing calmly.

Droitwich pressed further forward to increase their lead with Joe Cairns and Sam Radford forging a formidable partnership helped out by Hannah Blackmore who stifled Bromsgrove attacks.

John Phillips and Fernando Prendiville created further one on one opportunities but the homeside keeper smothered their attempts well

This was Spa fourth win on the bounce and sets up 2017 return fixtures
