On a wet and cold evening Droitwich Spa Veterans produced an excellent performance full which was built on teamwork and being hungrier for the ball

Droitwich eased into a 3-0 half time lead before Spa scored a further goal either side of two strikes from the home side.

Droitwich started the quicker wanting the ball and passing it around with authroity and were afforded the early opportunity as James Bishop went close. Pershore on the other hand were using their skill full midfielders and pacey forwards to try and prize the spa rearguard open, but George Robertshaw came up with a good close range save to the score 0-0.

A moment of magic from James Bishop opened Spa account with a defly taken reverse stick shot just out of the goal keepers reach after some neat interplay. Spa began to press higher up the pitch and broke Pershore attack up allowing Spa to release Joseph Neal with his pace and guile and Peter Prenderville to create further opportunities. Inbetween times Pershore fashioned some short corners which they falied to get a shot away. James Bishop popped up again to beat the home team keeper. Bishop completed his hatrick after a shot came off the post leaving him the easiest opportunity to slot the ball home

After the break Pershore asserted their authority more, and pushed Spa further back, with the pressure resulting in a goal after a mistake in the middle of the park. Droitwich gave possession in the middle of the park and Pershore were n the circle and a shot from the left hand side

Once more Spa tireless trio of Blackmore; Neal and Prenderville restricted the home side opportunities despite tiredness. From one breakaway,Joseph Neal won a short corner which Craig Timmis cooly flicked home from the top of the circle to extend Spa advantage and the score line too 4-1.

Pershore had the final say in the match as they scored a second after Spa left back gave the ball straight to the homeside forward who dispatched the gift.

This left the final score 4-2 to Droitwich who play Worcester on February 11th
