Spa upturn in form continued as they gained their first win in 7 outings moving ahead of Barlaston in the league.
Droitwich upturn in form continued as the secured a 2-0 win over Barlaston with two second half strikes which moved them up a place in the league.
During the first half both sides created chances, with Spa having an effort ruled out by the officials.
After the break Spa First goal was created when Pete Prenderville fired a cross in from the left and Craig Timmis turned dispatching the ball into the bottom left hand corner past wrong footed away keeper.
Spa kept the momentum and added a second after a surging run from Adam James beating several players before, drawing the keeper out and squaring the ball for Alexi Payne to find an empty net.
Droitwich continued to press forward and had their second goal of the game disallowed as a Penalty Corner had already been awarded despite Andy Griffiths efforts.
Spa travel to take on second place Newtown on Saturday.
